Bilaspur. South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL), one of the largest coal-producing companies in India, has invited applications for the engagement of 1,600 apprentices for the year 2026–27. The apprenticeship training will be provided for a period of one year at SECL’s various underground and opencast mines as well as other establishments.
The initiative aims to provide industry-oriented practical training to young graduates and diploma holders from engineering, technical and general streams, enabling them to gain hands-on experience and enhance their future employment prospects.
As per the notification, 500 positions are available for Graduate Apprentices and 1,100 positions for Technician Apprentices. The opportunities are available in various disciplines including Mining, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, as well as BBA, BCA, B.Com and B.Sc (Chemistry).
Notably, the highest number of positions—900—have been earmarked for Technician Apprentice (Mining Engineering), reflecting SECL’s focus on developing skilled manpower for the mining sector.

Interested and eligible candidates must first register on the NATS 2.0 portal (https://nats.education.gov.in/) and then apply online through the link available on the official SECL website (secl-cil.in). The online application process will remain open from 17 March 2026 to 31 March 2026.
